Major manufacturers are constantly coming out with new clubs that promise to hit the ball farther, more consistent, and more accurate than anything before. Many golfers go to their local golf store or pro shop to buy a set of these new wonder clubs right off the rack. The salesman any assure them that these are the best clubs on the market, but the question that is not answered is, “Are these the best clubs for that golfer”? The best equipment for you is quality equipment that has been professionally fit for your swing.

There are many factors to consider when building a club to fit your swing. These include club length, shaft type, lie angle, clubhead design, shaft flex, torque, club loft, swing weight, shaft weight, shaft bend point, grip size, grip type, clubhead offset, and much more. Once you consider all these factors, you begin to realize it is nearly impossible to find a set of clubs off the rack that will match your swing and allow you to play your best golf. Your swing didn’t come off and assembly line, neither should your clubs.

Ron Burleson, the owner of Corona Custom Golf is a member of the Professional Clubmakers Societyand has been certified as a Professional Class A Clubfitterand Clubmaker. Here at Corona Custom Golf, we go through a multi-step fitting session to determine the equipment best suited to your swing. This includes:

• A thorough player interview to help determine the current state of your game, your goals, equipment preferences, skill level, and more. The player interview will help us to get to know you and your game better.

• An analysis of your current clubs. We record the specifications of your current set. This information is very valuable in helping us to determine current areas of concern as well as areas of improvement.

• An analysis of your swing. We use state of the art computerized launch monitor equipment to help us determine swing speed, launch angle, club path, clubhead angle, ball speed, and more. This is the point where we consider which clubs might best suit you.

• Dynamic test fitting. We have you hit difference clubs to confirm proper length, lie, clubhead type, shaft flex, grip type, grip size and more. During the step you have the opportunity to see how difference equipment affects your game and what works best for you.

At this point you can take this information to your local golf store to help narrow down your choices, or if you prefer, we can professionally build custom clubs designed specifically for you.We use a multi-step assembly process to build you the highest quality clubs available.
